Ayurveda food pattern / Indian traditional food.
A sensible consumption of food is responsible for health and longevity. According to Ayurveda “shat rasas” have an effect in ultiate or increasing dosha and pacify “decrease” dosha.
Procedures like Abhyanga (body massage with oils), Udwartana (body massage with powders), Padabyanga (foot massage), Shirodhara, kati basti will help you to relax from the stress of childbirth, strengthen your loosened muscles and ligaments of abdomen and pelvis; and lose weight gained during pregnancy
This will also include ensuring adequate lactation, the repositioning of the uterus back to its pre-pregnant state, preventing the physical & mental stress in the mother. High hair falls during postpartum are linked to a natural elevation in Vata dosha that Ayurveda says occurs after delivery. If this aggravated Vata dosha is left unchecked it can lead to higher pain., poorer recovery rates, also sometimes it may lead to postpartum depression. All of these along with postpartum hair fall can be traced to uncontrolled Vata dosha because of a lack of proper postnatal care that follows ayurvedic principles. Ayurveda opines that the birth of a child causes an imbalance in the body doshas as a large gap is created in the womb that was once occupied by the fetus & her placenta. The process of childbirth which is physically demanding and rigorous excites vayu. once vayu is aroused, it is in its nature to rush in & occupy empty spaces & childbirth gives vayu a large empty space to occupy.
